Calder's First Birthday Party!
What a day! We celebrated this major milestone with all of Calder's closest friends. Jef made a wonderful cake, that Calder couldn't wait to sink his teeth...I mean hands, into! Calder's Grandpa Bontrager reports:

Hoop it Up!
Calder's Grandpop invited us to the first UCLA basketball game of the season. Calder was fixated on the action through most of the game, and enjoyed clapping along with the fans. The mascots did freak him out, but aside from that we had a blast and are looking forward to the next game!

Halloween!!!!
Calder probably didn't know what to make of the festivities today, but that didn't stop us from dressing him up as a penguin (costume courtesy of his Aunt Yong) and pimping him out for some CANDY! Yes, Mommy and Daddy will have tummy aches tonight.
We are aware of the extended time between updates, Daddy can no longer put the boy down on his back and leave him while he updates the site. Calder can get into just about anything these days.

Are you ready for some Football?
Time for an adventure... UCLA's football team played Arizona this afternoon at the Rosebowl. Calder was very excited to go, and seemed to enjoy the game. The sudden explosions of unchecked exhuberance from 60,000 people were another matter. Fortunately the game wasn't too close and the excitement died down in the second half as UCLA ran away with the victory.

July 4th Weekend
We've had a crazy weekend! To Kick it off, the majority of Calder's maternal clan has gathered in Arcadia so Jef and Calder went to visit them on the 2nd. Cousin Jason took a lot of photos with his new toy.
The rest of the weekend involved Barbeques, Swimming, and lots of Friends and Family! There was even a little time for Calder to unwind with a balloon!

Calder Loves to Go Swimming
We've started Swimming a lot. Calder just loves the water, and it wears him out so we can get a little rest as well!
We also got to go see an alpaca this weekend, it was so soft!

Father's Day!
Father's Day was wonderful, we went for a swim with the Boy, it was his first time in a swimming pool, and he loved it! Then we went to Grandmom and Grandpop's house for dinner, and they have two chairs that are just the right size for Calder.

Calder started to say "Da-Da" just in time for Father's Day! I was so excited.

Back from Reunion!
We have returned from Jef's 10th Reunion at Yale. There are tons of photos posted in the photos section.
